FEBRIS37 is a non-invasive body temperature screening solution assembled to meet the demands of organizations seeking high accuracy low-cost solutions to ensure public domain and workplace safety post-Covid-19. The solution is capable of identifying abnormal body temperatures, un-masked persons and provides alerts and analytics.
Fever is a common symptom of COVID-19, typically appearing 2-’14 days after exposure. Telethermographic systems can determine surface skin temperature, which is then used to estimate the temperature at a reference body site. The advantage of using Telethermographic systems for initial temperature assessment is the potential use in high throughput areas (e.g., airports, bus/ rail stations, businesses, schools, government offices, factories) and in settings where other temperature assessment products may be in short supply. Its main features include non-contact rapid screening of body temperature, long-distance, large area detection, intelligent alarms, fast response, high-temperature measurement accuracy, infrared and visible image overlay temperature measurement analysis.
This system has significant advantages over traditional IR thermometer scanning in the aspects. A thermal camera in combination with intelligent backend software helps detect persons with higher than normal temperatures entering a given area. The system accuracy is enhanced by a blackbody calibrator as it maintains a steady temperature over a surface that the thermal camera uses as an accurate temperature reference. Hence the blackbody calibrator is considered a critical component in the entire system.
